Dissertation Meeting
		3:00pm Monday 3 Jan 1994


The main point of discussion was the IEEE TPDS reviews that we
got back.  We also discussed the research contributions of
FT-Linda; Rick agreed to them as discussed in [contributions].

We will wait to see exactly what the IEEE editor needs, and when,
to decide exactly what to do, and when to do it, with regards to
getting back our revised submission.  In the next week, while Rick 
is gone, Dave will look at the TPDS issues but mainly work on his 
dissertation outline and introduction.

Dave's Action Items (all due by Mon 1/10/94 meeting):

	- Update HRI Analysis and mail it


	- Outline the following dissertations' contents and intros:

		* Shiv
		* Karen Hay
		* Bjornson (Yale Linda on hypercube)
		* Transactional DSM
		* Henri Bal 
		* Our TR 93-18 (not a dissertation, though)

	- Look at the ftol lang book chapter for big-picture ideas

	- For each major comment about the TPDS submission, 

		* analyze
		* recommend action course (ignore, add comments to
		  paper, rethink some FT-Linda issues, etc.)

	- Make a strawman outline for dissertation

	- Make a strawman outline for introduction

	- Review the FTCS-24 ftol Linda submission
