Who we are:

• Miya Matthild Schneider, our daughter, bottom left in ancient family photo. The picture above was taken when Miya was about three and a quarter years old. She and our son Henry are half Japanese, one quarter Icelandic, one quarter Germanic, entirely cute (at least at that age), and generally great kids.

  Here is a picture of Miya taken 5/31/2003 (age 12) shortly before the start of the Blue Lake Triathlon.

  

  Miya played some piano. Here she is, at age 13, playing Mendelssohn's Venetian Boat Song.

  The following picture of Miya at college graduation is sort of proof that her parents didn’t mess her up too much:

• John B. Schneider (me). The hairy one in the ancient photo. Since Miya got a triathlon photo, here is mine which was taken 9/1/2001 near the finish of the Age Group Nationals—not sure why I went! (I certainly appear to be enjoying myself.)
  
• Shira Lynn Broschat (the wife). Shira is also faculty at WSU and has her own home page.
