Advising
In addition to contacting the EECS undergraduate advisor each semester
to ensure that course selections meet degree requirements, EECS students
must meet with a faculty mentor at least once per year.
I am happy to hold mentor appointments during my regular office hours
throughout the semester. If you cannot come during office hours please
email me for an appointment, suggesting some times that would work for you.
If you are in your sophomore year and will have completed the
certification requirements for your degree program by the end
of this semester you should
apply for certification. The form to
do it is available
here and
from Josh Whiting's office in EME-302.
Following completion of 60 credit hours (usually at the end of your
sophomore year) you have 1 semester (usually the first semester of your
junior year) to complete your
University
Writing Portfolio requirement. You need to prepare for it by
keeping original, graded papers that you write for several of
your classes before that time.
